The road to the 18th Poseidon Athens Half Marathon has officially begun.

Behind the scenes, preparations for our next edition have been moving forward at full speed, and today we are delighted to share another important milestone with our international running community. 

The 18th Poseidon Athens Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, 25 April 2027, along the spectacular Athens Riviera. As the final organizational procedures are now entering their closing stage, we are getting ready to announce the official opening date for registrations.

That moment is now very close.

Opening registrations earlier than ever before is a deliberate choice. As our event continues to welcome runners from across the globe, we want to give every participant the time they need to plan their season, arrange travel and accommodation, coordinate club and team participation, and secure their place at one of Greece's most international road running events.

The Poseidon Athens Half Marathon has grown steadily over the years into far more than a race.

It has become an international meeting point where thousands of people come together to celebrate sport, health, friendship and the values that unite us beyond borders.

At our most recent edition, we proudly welcomed participants representing 90 nationalities and 67 countries across all five continents. This remarkable achievement places the Poseidon Athens Half Marathon among Greece's leading international road running events and reflects the continuous growth of our global running community.

Every new edition brings new ideas, higher standards and an even stronger commitment to quality. We continuously invest in improving the participant experience through better services, enhanced safety, innovation and thoughtful organization, ensuring that every runner enjoys an unforgettable experience from registration day to the finish line.

Our vision extends well beyond race day.
